Today's was an exciting one, too. I hope to see a good one tomorrow, although the Spanish showed a somwhat careful style of playing during the match with Italy. But they won't be able to do it against the Russians (Russian babes for Stephi:-)

Sleep-deprivation continues. Now I can't fall asleep which means tomorrow I'll be annoyed and bite a few heads off. My students are in for a surprise, probably.

Tomorrow's topic should be how to prompt victims to describe their stolen or lost property. Might change it for a lost match, perhaps...

Except for me there're no Turkish fans here. (Remember the match with the Czech team? Slovakia used to be part of Czechoslovakia, the Czechs are practically our brothers...) Most people think they're not exactly European, so they shouldn't be playing.

Little do they know! After all, any match where the Turks were playing offered some of the most exciting moments of this year's championship.

Ah, so the NL television also hacked into the Swiss satellite after the transmission broke down the 2nd time

(Watched it at home, cos I HATTED this over-the-top black-red-golden madness outside, but I figure some folks flipped out when picture and/or sound vanished)

I'm a bit sad, Turkey played so well... but Germany did it "the Turkish way" in the end, mmh, cosas de la vida and stuff...
If they stick to their one game cool, next game lame Russia gotta be cautious.
