Things that make you sad

Sorry to be a bummer. But in order to be happy, we must experience some sadness.

On my way to the dentist today (if that is not sad enough, hate going to the dentist), I saw a dead kitten on the road. He/she wasn't already really messed up yet, but, just laying on the road motionless. I wanted to pull over and pick it up, but, the road was very busy and I was afraid that I would get hit by a car. So, I cried the rest of the way to the dentist, and avoided taking the same way home so I did not have to see the body. I am tearing up right now. Maybe I need some meds.

I was driving north on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago with traffic sort of slow when a young boy and his German Shepard darted into traffic to cross the road. The dog was hit, the boy was not but it was so awful to have witnessed that and watched the young boy's distress and knew there was nothing I could do to help.

There are many, many other things that have made me sad, angry.... and will continue... life, huh?

Jack,

That is so sad. I am happy the boy did not get hit. He must have been heartbroken over his dog. It is horrible to feel helpless.

A man walked into a school that was 2 blocks away from my old montreal appartment today with a gun, and he started shooting.... He killed a girl and many others are in the hospital...

It makes me sick...

Yes, there will be things. And it is life. I guess I would rather have feelings, compassion, and sorrow, then living life as a robot. I am glad you don't live life as a robot.

So, here is another story. I work in downtown Grand Rapids. One morning, when I went into work, I saw a small bird that was huddling by the front door of my building. I took the elevator up to my floor, but, I could not forget the bird. So, I grabbed a box, went down, and sure enough that bird was still huddled there. I left work, and took the bird to the local nature center. Went back to work, and called several hours later. The bird died, but they told me it was very kind of me to bring it in so it could die it peace. I have reverted back to childhood. I use to bring home every creature I would find that I thought needed help. Use to drive my mother crazy.

Mayo Clinic uses powdered mix to make their low-cholesterol eggs.

They use too much water in their oatmeal.

The End.
