LOL...that's almost exactly how she was. She was on the phone with me, standing at her front door and she could see through the house and see the thing on the back window. I've done a fair bit of reading on them and from what I've gathered I think it was molting. They are normally ground dwellers. They spin no web but will burrow to rest. They usually cover themselves with leaves and wait for small bird to come near.

Yea, they feed on birds mainly. Ok, so can you see where I'm going with this? They are extremely fast! My friend said that if these wildlife people didn't catch it, she was moving out. I believe that she was serious. They caught the thing, but she still won't go out on her deck..."what if it had a mate?"

OK..so I looked that thing up on the net, and almost barfed while eating my tomato soup. What an ugly, huge, scary creature. I love the description on the site: "Attacks small animals and breaks them in half with it's sizable jaws" I'm thinking it could do major damage to ones digits..don't you?

Did you know that the average person eats 6 spiders in his/her lifetime? Most of those spiders are the ones that accidentally crawl into your mouth while you're asleep.

Have a nice night!

I think my favorite part about that page is:

"You can purchase a Goliath Birdeater at one of the following fine online retailers:"

"For larger quantity orders you can also visit the Tarantulas.com Bug Store"

Yeah.. so.. go out and get your Goliath Birdeater today!

I don't really have any problems where I live. At my old house, we had ants come visit us at least two months a year. I kid you not.. at least one million of them came into our home and decided to stay. Oh oh oh.. anddd.. we had a bee infestation. We called the bee man and he came, and he said our little nest was one of the biggest he has seen in his career. He estimated that there was about ten thousand bees. There was this hole in the wall. Up by the attic, and they lived in there. None of them came in the house.. they just flew around outside. All ten thousand of them...
In my brother's closet, one could hear the mummer of the bees. good times..
