leucipottomy: the study of senseless mutterings while dabbling one's finger in a squirt of ketchup in order to draw pictures with it on the dining room table.

leucipottomy - editing a post to add information after being reminded to do so.

Funky's reminder resulted in a quick leucipottomy from Bales.

Leucipottomy (n) An apocryphal book relating Moses' time with a travelling circus.

And Moses gave thanks to the LORD, for verily, unto each of the minutes of the day, the LORD has provided us a sucker.

leucipottomy - to willfully let go of all of one's mental moorings.

After one too many bottles of Prosecco at the celebrity gala, Blanche somehow ended up perched on the shoulders of John Hamm with her bare feet in the punch bowl - a spectacularly public leucipottomy that led inevitably to a long stint in the Betty Ford Clinic and oddly enough, expulsion from The Daughters of the American Revolution.

^ I'm embarrassed to say that I must plead the Zatoichi Rule in regards to my own post up above, which I just noticed. Please, Judge, forgive this inadvertent leucipottomy of mine and judge the entries separately on their own merits if possible.

Point of order: I think the current word is misspelled. Should be "leucippotomy", not that anybody cares about such things.

The caffeinated speaker from Floating wishes to suggest that perhaps the distinguished barked gentleman from Earth, apt. 2-B might be thinking of a completely different word that looks nearly identical to the current word :P

the Marquis of Achewood rules clearly state that the word must be defined as spelled, and that homophones are ineligible for consideration under the present round of the game.

invoking the rarely-invoked subclause 147 of section D minor of the fourth sub-chapter of the Jacobian appendix to Duffy Sealington's Dictionary Game for Complete Morons dealing with subtle variations in Greco-English conversion, I offer my own definition for treekisser's "leucippotomy"

leucippotomy - n. - the ritual removal of hallucinating hippopotami from the temple of Isis, regularly practiced by the ancient Egyptians to herald the annual inundation of their fields by the Nile.

leucippotomy - a common delusion of the members of the fairer sex that Prince Charming on his white steed will eventually come to the rescue.

Aunt Mixie suffered from acute leucippotomy and carried sugar cubes and carrot sticks on her everywhere she went.

leucipottomy - removal of the homophonic nodes

An English doctor is being shown around a Scottish hospital. At the end of his visit, he is shown into a ward with a number of patients who show no obvious signs of injury. He goes to examine the first man he sees, and the man proclaims:

"Fair fa' yer sonsie face,
Great chieftain e' the puddin' race!
Aboon them a' ye tak your place,
Painch tripe or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy o' a grace
As lang's my arm."

The Englishman, somewhat taken aback, goes to the next patient, who immediately launches into:

"Some hae meat, and canna eat, and some wad eat that want it,
But we hae meat and we can eat,
And sae the Lord be thankit."

And suddenly the next patient sits up and declaims.

"Wee sleekit cow'rin tim'rous beastie,
O what a panic's in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty,
wi' bickering brattle
I wad be laith to run and chase thee,
wi' murdering prattle!"

"Well," said the Englishman to his Scottish colleague, "I see you saved the psychiatric ward for the last."

"Nay, nay," the Scottish doctor corrected him, "This is the Serious Burns Unit."

Remember, only a leucipottomy can prevent punning.
