I have learned to laugh at myself.

I have learned (sometimes ) to pick my battles.

I have learned to appreciate what I have (although there's still room for improvement)

My dad told me this joke about this kid askin somebody to dance at a school dance, and his parents told him to say something positive to the girl, and he says "Gee, you don't sweat much for a fat girl!" of course, now when I hear somebody say that I should say something positive, it comes to mind.

I have learned roofing, electrical work, electronics, how to draw and paint adequetly in any media, woodworking, metal working, plumbing, drywalling, sewing, baking, cooking, how to play several instruments, and have the belief that there is no skill that I can't learn.

I have gained the confidence to succesfully do whatever I set out to do...but I am still am working on developing the motivation to do it.

I have learned that I have my own methods of fixing/dealing with my problems, and that those methods don't often work for others.

I have safely ridden Motorcycles for 25 years and have safely dropped 4 motorcycles and avoided serious crashes or injury.

I have never broken a bone.

I have served in the US Air Force.

I have been a solid D/F student in the grade schools (from absolute boredom), a honor graduate from Air Force Technical training...I was #2 in my class and 1 point behind my best friend who got #1, and stoked that Jose got it because he was seeking US citizenship and it meant far more to him and his familly than it did to me, and I have been a 4.0 student in college while still doing academic requirements, then I sank/relaxed back to became a A/B/C art student depending on the classes.

I have traveled less than many monkeys it seems. I have been as far south as just across the Mexican border, as far North as just across the Canadian border, as far west as Hawaii, and as far East as Pennsylvania.

I have learned to sail a boat and fly a light plane.

I have jumped out of a perfectly good airplane.

I have worked with a small commited group of wonderful people to create a fun, useful, entertaining, and highly praised educational program for young children, families and schools.

I have won an award with my friends for the above and performed live Astronomy music for famous astronomers after our award banquet...way fun.

I have lost 2 very good friends to death, both way to young.

I have given up worring about things I can not prove.

I have held the belief that I was nobody, but realized I couldn't prove it.

I have lived with depression for years at a time and have decided to cut myself all the slack I need to feel ok about myself, because I learned that I deserve it.
