Arrow we collect constructed reality people

in edinburgh where i grew up we'd always see "indigo blue" - a harmless guy who dressed in blue everything and pushed a blue wheelbarrow around as he walked with an unearthly tiptoeing gait which i can never forget - on busy saturdays he'd go about shouting at the top of his voice incessantly: "indigo blue indigo blue I'M INDIGO BLUE!!!!" sometimes he'd be standing in the middle of one particular large traffic island waving his arms like a demented traffic policeman - everyone just smiled - he was okay

now in london these days is the tentacle man - he walks around in a big raincoat and trilby hat with a 30ft length of rubber hose draped over his shoulders and trailing out behind him - you see him down by the river a lot - he has a stern expression but i think he's okay too

describe people you've seen around your town who seem to be living in/with/through their own constructed reality

There is a guy in Montreal who dresses like spiderman then dances to hip hop on the side of St. Catherine street in any variety of weather.

There is a man named Ryan Larkin who was an academy award nominee for best short film.He now begs for change about 10 blocks away from where I live on St. Laurent.

There are two of note that I have dealt with. The first is James Brown, nobody knows his real name but he wanders around town yelling at people. He speaks just like the real James Brown and if you give him some change(or catch him in a good mood) he will dance like James Brown as well. They tried to get him on the Jimmy Kimmel show because he had been arrested several hundred times and it made the papers. He is a bit too far out there for an interview show.

The second is my buddy J.C. (jesus christ but he let's me call him J.C.) A trully insane fellow. He recieved 500 dollars a month from disability but would spend it all riding around town in cabs. If you are polite to him he is manically friendly but if you are aggressive with him he will go crazy and cause some damage. I have seen him dragged out of many establishments around town. He hasn't been around for a few years, I do believe they finally locked him up for good. He sure could preach though.

Tree Man. He would fight with this particular tree, raised voice and fists. Then one day, he seemed to be in a very friendly conversation with it. I think they made up. After that, I never saw him again.

probably two in this town.

the FreakyPirate is pretty much living in a special world. it's said that she goes around the office telling people to shut up, sometimes singing 80s songs or humming video game tunes. the Pirate says she drives a piece of fruit. unlike the other nutcase, the guy with glasses as thick as pickle jars, the Pirate doesnt piss her pants every day in the supermarket. yet.

i swear i'm not the tentacle man!

these people come and go - often they vanish

i'm thinking maybe they're conjured up by the spirit of whatever city they inhabit

you got some up there in reykjavik?

in Ann Arbor, MI there is a man that goes by the name of 'Crazy Horse'. He can be seen wandering the campus, yelling at various people groups. He finds the most joy out of disturbing anyone and everyone. No one knows much about him. Besides the fact that his is indian and appears homeless.
