You might have a sinus infestion of sorts. The tubes from eyes to sinus to throat to ears. Swallowing mucus with infection in it will upset your stomach.
Take a course of antibiotics. I don't recommend this to anyone for just anything. I know about superbugs, but yours sounds antibiotic worthy.
Do you get crusty eyed when you get a cold? If not, this is a little more antibiotic worthy.

Ha! This is what I thought. Teratoma. Some tiny little hair invagination or something gone mad. I had one removed from Katie last year. It was quite tender, kept growing, and she seems happy to have it gone.

I think you're right. The eye glue and now the sinus drainage are far too colourful (sorry). Dang dang dang. DANG! And I still have a lowish grade fever and feel like carp.

Okay, okay. My friendly pharmacist is going to deliver 10 days' worth of Amoxil to my house today. Thanks for all the help from you diagnosticians. Better than a swab any day (certainly faster). Now I just have to make sure nobody touches anything I touch for the next week or so... should be a breeze, no?

Just under my scalp on the top of my head there is this swell that is growing and quite painful.


I think a soft boggy swelling on the scalp following a head injury can be a sign of a fractured skull....just to cheer you up! I'm sure that would have been ruled out already?

Thing is, I LOVE my nurse practitioner. She is one of the most wonderful, compassionate, kind hearted people I have ever met. But I do think I need to get a second opinion.

K, you asked for it. I hit my head on the truck door like 5 months ago. It's gradually hurting more and more. Initially they thought it was the fibroid bean I have under my scalp. Very small, but it's not. When I went to get it taken out the doc was like, "Nope, it's not that so we'll leave it." And then he offered no inclination as to what it is. Just under my scalp on the top of my head there is this swell that is growing and quite painful. I can feel it pulse at times. It's so freaking bizarre. I can't lay on my back cause it hurts. Sometimes the pain stretches to my eye and down my ear and neck. The practitioner says it's an inflammed nerve probably and it will go away someday. Just take ibprofen. Maybe she'll think something of it when it has grown to egg size. I just don't know.

My mom had something that sounds like exactly what you are describing. It was a cyst. She had it removed and other than having to wear a bandage, she is fine now. But it got very large. I don't remember what she said caused it, but I know that it was nothing serious.

Well a few weeks ago my nurse practioner referred me to one of the doctor's and I had the surgery all scheduled. After I got up all the nerve to go the doc didn't really looked at it and just touched it really quick and said "Don't worry about it." So I shrugged it off. Weeks later now it's still growing and hurting. I guess it is second opinion time. I hate doctors.

If it continues to hurt like that, it is definitly worth getting a second opinion. Maybe go to a specialist, though I have no idea what kind. I will call my mom and ask her what she did right now.
