I just inhaled a Hershey's Mocha Almond Limited Edition Bar. With a wine chaser.

It is great. I have been enjoying the peace and quiet. I have not done anything to the house. It has not had to have anything done to it. I am going furniture shopping this weekend, finally. Pics will come, when it is exactly the way I want it. I still drive through my old hood once in a while since I have to pick up my prescriptions at my old neighborhood pharmacy. There is graffitti all over the place. I am glad, and I am so fortunate to have sold my house when I did. It is amazing that a neighborhood can be stable for years, and go downhill so quickly. When I finally sold my house, and broke the news to my neighbors, they were mad that I decided to move. They thought I was selling out and was allowing myself to be driven out of the neighborhood. They believed that I should stay. Oh, well. I am happier now, sleep better, lurves the house, and don't fear someone is going to break in. Sometimes neighborhoods die. And it is sad. But I don't have to be trapped in it. I still have a soft place in my heart for my old house. It was the first one I owned, and I felt like such a grown up when I bought it. I still drive by it occasionally. I hope the new owners enjoy it in the spring. I spent tons of money on flowers. I always enjoyed watching the flowers bloom in the spring. But, I wax sentimental. Enough said. |
