Over here in the U.S., I think, the country has for the most part been so overwhelmingly Christian, that it's been kind of a wake-up call that there are now so many of other faiths/no faith speaking up.

From my personal orbit, Christians understand the concept of all religions peacefully coexisting and having equal rights, but the reality is a little difficult. I think if say, in all this controversy over the display of the 10 Commandments, Muslims were to say, "Fine, but here's a copy of the Quran to add" Christians would say "But, but..." and then trot out the argument that our country is historically Christian, like that would somehow make it ok.

I'm not expressing myself well but hopefully you get my gist.

By the way, I'm Christian.

You're completely misunderstanding me! I was just trying to express how wrong of me it is to keep my belief (considering what that is) to myself, in the SAME WAY it would be wrong to keep a cure for cancer to myself.

You know, I believe I have the answer, why should I stop people from knowing it?

I never said you had a disease!

What scares me most is the tendacy for history to repeat itself.

Yeah that's what I say...

Cause Hitler killed about 12 million "others", that included Christians, Catholics among them.

So this , Christian movement to exterminate the Jews in WWII is a mistaken theory at best, and a fallacious argument at worst.

i think it's a bit of both. there's nature to start with. then, there's nurture too. it's necessary, because we don't live in the prehistoric era anymore, we as human beings have to adapt to new situations and new social behavior. nurture, in my opinion, is necessary to survive.

Yah I think Hitler was just an evil man. I don't associate him with Christianity, I associate him with ... well, with his particular evilness coming together with a political situation that was favourable for what he wanted to do.
