inconspicuous apocalpyse ... mmm I like the sound of it.
Yeah, and next week I'm teaching next to nothing, on Wednesday I don't even have a single lesson... I just have to sit there for 8 hours. I'll go nuts without the internet... |

Yes, I'll do that. Although usually I pretend I'm working sitting in front of my PC. Typing away really fast can give you the air of industriousness. Now I'll sit quietly at my desk, immersed in reading - that's not quite the same. Doesn't look productive enough.

^You are in a stupid dilemma now! Maybe writing something would look more productive (are you into sudoku, crossword puzzles or something? are you maybe (thinking about) writing a biography, novel? - you could even type that on your compie so the productive-sounding clicker-clacker would be there. what sort of games are on your office compi? you don't have tetris, or?)

![]() Stephi, you're brilliant!! ![]() I don't play those kinds of games, I like the fid-a-way-how-to-get-out-of-the-room type and strategy games, like Civilisation. I can't play it at work (tried) because I get so immersed in the game that I forget to go to teach. My boss would not overlook that... |

CJ, might be interesting for you (and I haven't seen any placards in Berlin yet):
![]() ![]() How to come there: RE1 or S7 to Potsdam Hbf, and then with Bus 605 or 695, or Tram 91 to Luisenplatz-Süd/Park Sanssouci |

People think it's very rude
To comment on their pulchritude; Which only shows they've sloughed their duty To look it up, since it means "beauty".

I used the phrase "that won't put sod on the dyke" the other day, in the context of a foodstuff that is sort of inadequate and mostly useless, and someone asked me where it came from and I said it sounds like a Dutch notion but now I can't find anything about it on the internet. Any of you all heard that phrase before?
