Lent it to a friend and she never gave it back. Hmmm wonder why. I have strong suspicions that she *may* have given it to her boyfriend for bedtime reading...
Anyway. More importantly, read "The Wonderful O" by James Thurber (which is actually what I thought I was buying at the time (no, that's a total lie). But anyway it's great.

"Story of O" was well conceived and executed. "Return to the Chateau," which was her sequel, left much to be desired, and not in a sadistic, "no I won't beat you no matter how much you beg," kind of way. LOL

The movie version of "O" was so-so. "Bound" was much better, in my opinion.

If you're actually looking for titilating BDSM fiction with a plot, "Topping From Below" is quite a thriller - but buyer beware - it addresses some pretty unusual fetishes. Laura Reese, the author, also wrote "Panic Snap: A Novel," which is also a well-crafted BDSM thriller without quite so much focus on the more unusual fetishes found in "Topping."

This is, of course, all second hand information I picked up on the web. I have no personal knowledge of any of these deviant books.
