Ok, there is nothing on the bottle that indicates if there is or isn't thujon in it.

A faux-absinthe liquor called Absente, made with southern wormwood (Artemisia abrotanum) instead of regular wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), is sold legally in the United States and does not contain thujone.

I say go for it, with caution. I drank about a half-wineglass of the czech stuff, which is quite a lot, and i drank it straight, because I'm a bonehead. if you try a shot diluted with water (and sugar, how you're sposed to) you'll probably be fine. I doubt they'd be selling the stuff if it were as toxic as all that!

wikipedia's article on thujone. sounds like more sound than fury.

interesting that sage and sage oil contain considerable quantities of thujone, yet sage is on the FDA's list of foods that are "generally recognized as safe."
