Prince Charles & Lady Camilla's Wedding
(is that right? I'm not sure about titles & such)
Your thoughts? I thought it was despicable at first, but as one of the commentators pointed out, "at least he isn't marrying some 20-something bimbo" and another agreed, "Yes, he is marrying his soul mate, someone he's known for 3 1/2 decades" I don't live in the UK, but want to know what our Brits think & of course everyone else too. http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/3...a_300ra_ap.jpg

Cool. Royal gossip.
I stayed late at work to watch it. One of the demented old girls said "he's bald and it's boring". We told her that's why she wasn't invited. For what it's worth I thought her outfits were entirely appropriate as was the service. And of course, I was glad to hear The Water Music. eta Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall

oh god, here we go.
ok i'm british and thus have had to live my life in the shadow of these mewling inbreds. always on telly, always in the news. lady di farted - front page blah blah! i wish they would just resign and go and live on a council estate in peckham. however, in this case i have got to say that i do have some sympathy for the barking prince. he has been in love with this woman for decades, why we will never know, but i couldn't see what was so great about diana either to be honest. all that time they have had to hide their affection, and when it was made public the great british masses complained cos she was too ugly. well that's his problem, how bloody superficial. they're all ugly, you never complained about princess anne. in fact it is a very romantic story, but the repulsiveness of all the main actors makes it so skin creepingly unpleasant. and as for the queen, what a miserable old dried up piece of excrement she is. ungracious, mean spirited old bag. just my opinion of course.... ![]() ps, loved the swedish queen's excuse that she couldn't make the wedding cos she had to open a new ikea!!!

It does seem appalling that the Queen should care so little about the happiness of her own offspring. Priorities, yeesh.

The marraige to Diana was a politically arranged marraige, you can't expect the man not to have his true love on the side. Diana wasn't a blushing virgin either tarting about with security staff and such. Let the man get married, who cares? His sons seemed okay with it. It isn't the first time english monarchs got divorced and re-married. At least he didn't have Diana beheaded

Prince Charles Is An Asshole
I know it must suck to be harangued by the media all the time, but don't you think, what with being the Prince of England, free to travel all over the world, work merely as a figurehead while appointed common folk do all the work, and having virtually unlimited funds to do whatever with, that he would STFU and smile for the cameras? Apparently not. If I were on a ski vacation to Switzerland, I certainly wouldn't be bitching. But then again, I'm a common townsperson. American, at that. Viva la nepotism! |

can you imagine what it must be like to live your whole life
under a microscope though? it's not like they are really free to enjoy all their wealth and privilege cos they are being observed every waking minute. the whole thing is sick and should be stopped now! ![]()

Yes, yes, I imagine it must suck, blah blah blah.
But would I trade places with him? In a New York Minute. Would he trade places with me? When hell freezes over. So he needs to suck it up and at least PRETEND to like people who have the misfortune of being less fortunate than him. |
