gristalmalituphenia - a mental disorder which leaves the sufferer convinced that he is a reincarnated healer, emitting groovin' vibes of fab-tastic proportions to fellow dancers at the Masonic Lodge.

gristalmalituphenia the giddy rush of knowing that a dictionary game judging may only be a matter of weeks away.

Through long experience, he claimed, Marcus Bales had found a diet of currant buns and vodka was the only way to keep the demons of gristalmalituphenia at bay, though it had been noted he often observed this diet even when he was the judge.

gristalmalituphenia the foreboding dread of winning the Dictionary Game

HFox, enveloped in a tide of gristalmalituphenia, tried, in vain, to think of pink elephants instead.

gristalmalituphenia - the inability to forget an inappropriate or unfortunate memory.

Gristalmalituphenia

We all have prejudiced associations
That, hard as we may try, we can’t control –
A vocal cue will prompt improper relations
We’d like to bury in a psychic hole;
We bite our tongues, avoiding confrontations,
And bit by bit we learn the proper role:
That out of all our inner storm and stress
We chose what to express – and not express.

Natasha Trethewey has now become
The poet laureate – and no Celt more than I
Is with her now within the seething scrum
Of Yankee English, nor more approves her high
Award, nor more aware of that low hum
That subjugated languages supply
In assonance, inflection, or in rhythm --
Depending on the tones surviving with them.

But those are not the accents that I hear
When someone says the poet laureate’s name –
And those are not the accents that will sear
My writhing inner self with childish shame.
What accent comes so clearly to my ear,
With foreign vowels I desperately disclaim
In prejudice that I cannot deny?
Natasha saying “Moose and squirrel must die!”

gristalmalituphenia - the uncontrollable urge to grind up against just about anything, followed by feelings of intense shame and embarrassment.

Sigh. That was fun.

You do win the internet my dear...but not the dictionary game.

alrighty...enough is enough.

Still uninspired to do a proper judging, but i'm ending this fiasco now.

All paticipants win a memory foam whoopee cushion for your patience sitting this one out.

Except Mojo who wins a memory foam cushion AND the not so coveted judge's wig for the next round of TDG for her remarkably accurate definition for

Gristalmalituphenia::
I am helping blahblahblah*
isn't that it?

Yes Mojo...that is IT! Making you IT for next go round.

Good luck all, and sorry for the delay.

Actual definition of Gristalmalituphenia:
blahblahblah

Denouement - the removal of a nose

As a young child Marcus Bales was generally calm and placid except however when the fun and games reached their final shocking denouement.

Denudement - that part that comes after the climax.

After the climax, the two of them dressed themselves with their usual ritual of denudement and went out for breakfast.
