i heard most of the city's telephone lines are down, i'm not sure if the mobile network is up again.. maybe they're all out there watching tv in the pub.. my uncle said a lot of people were gathering at the pubs!

maybe you can try and email them.. or maybe ring their workplace?

I wonder if this would have happened if Bush hadn't been re-elected.

I hope your friends check in soon, chuckie. Dark times.

When it happens to London, it happens to everyone here in the U.S. as well. It's horrifying and sad. My prayers are with you today, London.

Has anyone heard from Zero? I think he's a Londoner as well...

I'm glad everyone is alright and accounted for Everyone in England is in my thoughts and prayers tonight.

I just watched the news and I'm in shock and disbelief? Why do people do this, there's no logic for it? This affects us all if not directly then indirectly. After 9/11 they started searching our cars at work for hidden bombs and such, they started again today. (I work in a government place which goes on high alert when something like this happens).
I feel so invaded, like my freedom is slowly being taken away from me. We can't let these evil bastards succeed

Good to hear that Chuckie. It's such an invasion and I feel for you and everyone over there. You Brits will pull through though, just recall how tough you guys were in WW II. I know that England would never let some loser terrorists that blow themselves up in buses take away their freedom and security. Good will eventually over power this evil

it isn't.

not until there is a just settlement in israel
and democracy and redistribution of wealth
in the middle east. these two things would
hugely reduce the recruiting power of al kaida.

yes, it would've happened if bush hadn't been
elected. kerry wouldn't have pulled out of iraq,
the situation would have been just the same.

I'm glad your friends are okay.

I wish our government hadn't ****ed things up so badly. I wish they would acknowledge and apologize for what they've done. It would be so much more admirable than what they're doing instead. It wouldn't fix anything, but it would be less offensive.

The true victims of all this are innocent people that is what pisses me off. Why are these terrorists blowing up your average person that has got nothing to do with any of these politics? This is also horrible for Arabs living in Europe and America, they get discriminated against because they happen to be the same race as these bastards. My friend is from India and lives in NY, after 9/11 she got dirty looks from even her neighbors. She was afraid to leave her house alone for a month.

Some British guy was on the news last night and his attitude was great, the interviewer asked him why he wasn't afraid to use the Underground right after these attacks? His answer was "Then the terrorists have won, I'm not going to let them win".
