pursuit

I'd like to get your opinions and stories on the subject of pursuit of a dating partner, specifically femme-initiated.
I know that throughout the history of the Western world, it's usually been that the girl sits around and looks pretty, and hopes the guy notices her... then she plays hard to get for awhile (maybe) until she's sure he's serious... I also know there's supposed to be some new rules now, that it's okay for the girl to do the pursuing... but I'm not so sure if that's just a nice idea that some feminists started but maybe goes against human nature...(?)

So tell me - guys, have you ever been wooed by a girl? Didja love it or hate it? Are you still with her? Wimmens - have you ever successfully gone after a man you were interested in and had it turn out well, maybe even after some initial resistance? Or not?

i'm a girl (hello, bows) but it probably depends if the girl is annoying or not, like all things.

so i voted they have to go about it in a different way
which is unannoyingly.

it's always been simultaneous and i wouldn't have it any other way

( neither pursuing a guy that doesn't pursue me, nor being pursued by someone i can't get excited about does anything for me )

well, sometimes it takes pursuit to realize you like somebody

no, i meant girl-annoying about it (like all emotional and dramatic)
pursuant guys are plenty annoying, but i thought this thread was about girls

(edit: i just realize the above sentences are obvious and dumb so ignore them, please)

i'll pursue to a point.......but i agree with fodder......there's a very fine line between pursuing a guy and being an emotional, crazy or dramatic chick.

ps don't ignore the obvious......i mean if you really have a gut feeling that someone is not into you.........well then at least in my experience they usually are not.

Iv'e never pursued a guy because I guess I never met someone I felt I wanted to pursue. I did ask a guy out once that I met at a party because I heard he was super shy. Date bombed though and I ended up with huge blood blisters on both of my pinky toes. I couldt wear shoes gor 2 weeks! I never saw him again...

Girls just do what they feel. Guys the same. If anyone annoys me i tell him/her. If i'm annoying to someone i will eventually understand.

Girls should just chase each other and let the boys alone.

Who the hell is Steve?

I think the age of the guy being pursued would have a factor. I mean, wouldn't older men know themselves better and be more comfortable with a woman making the first move?
