i have no words - alas! - to tell
the loveliness of loving well
nor would i now attempt to trace
the more than beauty of a face
whose lineaments, upon my mind
are shadows on th' unstable wind

Life is truly known only to those who suffer, lose, endure adversity and stumble from defeat to defeat.

Life is full of misery, loneliness, and suffering - and it's all over much too soon.

stars in our own car we can drive away from here
far away
so far away
down to brighton and work there

far away
we'll go far away
and flog ice creams til the company's on its knees

see you in your next life
when we'll fly away
for good

"i think i'm old and i'm in pain" you said "and it's all running out like it's the end of the world" you said "and it's so cold it's like the cold if you were dead" and then you smiled for a second

sometimes you make me feel like i'm living at the edge of the world like i'm living at the edge of the world "it's just the way i smile" you said

the cure

Ned: "We're done for! We're done-diddly-done-for! We're Done-diddly-doodly-done-diddly-doodly done-diddly-doodly"

Homer: (Slapping Ned from left to right)
"Flanders! Get a Hold of Yourself!"

(He stops slapping for a moment, Ned has calmed down)

Ned: "Thanks, Homer.... I really..."

(Homer begins slapping him again)

Bart: "Dad! I think he gets the point!"

Homer: "(Slap) Better (Slap) To be (Slap) Safe (Slap) Than (Slap) Sorry (Slap) ........ Sorry"

Ned: "diddly (Slap)"

DALE: Hank Hill is weeping like a little French girl!

PEGGY: Hank, come on, there's no reason to be ashamed about your crying. But yet, I am.

it is the fate of every great achievement to be pounced upon by pedants and imitators who drain it of life and turn it into an orthodoxy which stifles all stirrings of originality

Cry Me A River
Words & Music by Arthur Hamilton, 1953
Recorded by Julie London, 1955 (#9)

Intro: A7 - Am7/F# - F - E - Am

A9 Am Dm7 G7 C E7
Now you say you're lonely, you cry the whole night through;

A7 Am7/F#
Well you can cry me a river, cry me a river,

F E7 Am E7
I cried a river over you.

A9 Am Dm7 G7 C E7
Now you say you're sorry for being so untrue;

A7 Am7/F#
Well you can cry me a river, cry me a river,

F E7 Am
I cried a river over you.

Bridge:

Am E7 Dm E7
You drove me, nearly drove me out of my head;

Am Dm7 E7
While you never shed a tear;

Am E7 Dm E7
Remember? I remember all that you said --

Am Am+7
Told me love was too plebian,

Am7 Am6 Bb9 E7
Told me you were through with me, and,

A9 Am Dm7 G7 C E7
Now you say you love me; well, just to prove it's true,

A7 Am7/F#
You can cry me a river, cry me a river,

F E7 Am
I cried a river over you.

Coda:

A7 Am7/F#
Cry me a river, cry me a river

F E7 Am
I cried a river over you.

| Am G | F Bb9 (hold) | E7 | Am - E7 - Am |

look, nobody cares that you're a DJ - dude, first of all, raves were never even cool to begin with. the fact that you're still trying to "keep the party going" ten years later is bordering on The Most Pathetic Thing Ever. you can pile up all the lasers and lights and disco balls and glo sticks and pacifiers you want, but all you'll have is a big heap of Who Gives A Shit. and quit passing out all those stupid glossy promo cards announcing your latest weekly "Bliss-Chillout-Ambient-House-Electro-fest". you're 45 now -- isn't that a little old to be handing out postcards with psychadelic robots all over them? also, your "DJ Name", whatever it is, is stupid.You silly scenesters can stand there and look as jaded and above-it-all as you want, but you're not fooling me into thinking you're some kind of ****ing rock star. Say it along with me, "I am not a musician". No matter how many obscure bands you know or how big your record collection is, you're playing someone else's music. So stop acting like Mick ****ing Jagger at every retarded party and gallery opening I go to. I have a pretty impressive DVD collection and know quite a bit about film history, but if I show up at your house and play Taxi Driver for you, does that make me Martin Scorsese? No, it doesn't. Also, whatever you're wearing right now, it looks ridiculous.
