Katrina Relief Auction on Flickr

It's been a long time since i darkened the door of this place. But I thought it might be worthwhile to let you good monkeys know about a really good thing that is beginning to come together at Flickr. Some enterprising soul has put together a charity auction under the group heading of the Katrina Relief Auction. You can explore it at the following URL...

http://www.flickr.com/groups/katrina_auction/

The idea is that photographers are donating prints of some of their most beautiful images to the highest bidder. The bids, in their entirety, go to the American Red Cross Emergency Relief Fund to assist in the the aftermath of the horrifying event that was Hurricane Katrina.

Go there. look at the beautiful images. Bid.

I don't know what ever became of mr. beale but I hope he is well. My thoughts have been about him quite a bit these past few days.

Anyway. I thought you all lmight be interested in this small wayto raise some funds and some awareness.

miss most of you, (heh)
rick.
