): Something that made you sad today :(
Spotting little feathery blobs along the curb sides of the bridges I cross daily now...and imagining the horrible transition from freedom in motion to torn feathered wreckage caused by a misguided choice to fly through a bridge rather than over or under it.

Scenes from the side of the road Part II:
A solitary black Men's dress shoe, well used and in need of a shine, about 2 yards down the On Ramp from single white Ladies running shoe. I wondered if the mismatched pair had found, or yearned for, their Sole Mates in that unlikely spot. |

Ode to a middle aged man with detached retinas who's lost his job and his wife and is miles from comfort.
And, the people in Syria. |

I was alarmed at the commotion in the sun room. The terrible beasts are de-feathering an unlucky red-winged blackbird. First one I'd ever seen in person, and it's limp, not stiff yet, in my hands, minus its eyes. I am howling, and the cats run away from my sounds.

Petco store had foster kittys today...I both love that they do that, and it distresses me too.
I love that they are letting pet shelters put great cats right out in front of pet lovers where they have a better than average chance of finding a home. It distressed me to see/hear a sorrowful kitty crying because it's people let it go and it is lonely and wanting a better home than a shelter cage. She was a gorgeous short hair female, body pale almost white, with a head that was pale striped and lovely blue eyes. She was mewing constantly in the saddest way that it broke my heart. But I have an elderly kitty who would not appreciate an invasion, and I am feeding a feral who only visits late nights to feed, and I can't take on any more at this time. I hope someone picks that lovely thing up and gives it a good home. I had a boo hoo face all the way home. ![]() |

Hoping that a lost captain is not added to the loss of that beautiful ship. ![]() |
