Observations on your commute

Today;

On the subway a guy was playing guitar and singing for money and this line made me crack up: "You'll do anything to make me feel like an asshole."

Same subway, guy says to a woman and her 7-year-old son -- I guess we'll see you in the Olympics 15 years from now. The mother instinctively put her arm around her son and looked alarmed until the guy pointed out the kid walks on his toes -- a sprinter.

Woman in her 60s gets on wearing skin tight pants and big ol' biker boots with her hair all spiked up like hair was in the '80s.

I was about two blocks from the freeway, trying not to feel too smug but really enjoying myself... and a guy walking down the street said when I passed, "You DRIVE that car, girl."

maybe you had to be there...

I got out of bed and fed the cats and then realized I needed to roast some coffee for the next few days...so I delayed turning on the computer due to frequent blown circuit breakers while roasting lately...sure enough...a breaker blew. I finished the roast on the stove top using my whirly pop.
Then I turned on the computer...ta da... my commute today.

Driving home from work a few years ago on Main Street. Black lady crossing the street. Black man in the car next to me shouts out, "Hey, Girl!"
She turns around, glares at him and says, "Hey, BOY!"
He gets angry, "I ain't no Boy!"
She says, "I ain't no Girl neither!" and walks off...

Now that I have a (relatively) new car, I use the interstate. Smooth sailing today due to a lot of folks still at home. Won't be like that for too long, I bet.
