What/who do you miss?

1. My boyfriend and his son (they had to go home yesterday, darnit!)
2. Not being aware of the troubles in the world.
3. A time when I didn't worry much about money!
4. Eating malted milk balls while sitting on the swing in my childhood back yard.
5. Danny Elfman singing instead of just composing. (Oingo Boingo!)
6. Hopscotch.
7. Playing outside until dark every night.
8. My college chums Kelly and David - where did they go?
9. Drawing for hours and hours while watching Dr. Who and listening to Dr. Demento
10. Being able to buy records instead of CDs.

1. Cigarette smoking.
2. Not noticing dust bunnies.
3. My African Grey parrot, Sully.
4. Listening to Love and Rockets on my Walkman.
5. Listening to Yes 90125 as loud as my boom box could go.
6. Living in residence.
7. Local BBSes.
8. Drinking at places with elasticized terry towels topping the tables.
9. Going for walks after dark in summer.
10. Tobogganing.

1. My darling one (who will be here soon!)
2. Doing step aerobics in the morning with balletic moves and feeling STRONG!!!
3. The ecstasy that comes that moment when you're done with finals and there's nothing to worry about for *months*. Most things school-involved (except for finals).
4. My Schroeder-bunny.
5. Joel's espresso-maker! (I need to get one...)
6. Being able to just turn on the radio (at home and in the car) and listen to KCRW instead of having to connect on the computer (tho' I'm grateful I can!)
7. Being able to just relax on the weekend instead of doing yet more work...
8. Having a piano available any time I want.
9. Uncle Jer's
10. The board when we were all new, everything was new, and nobody had to worry about anyone making fun of them because they were enthusiastic or didn't say something *just right*; when we could just be goofy and everyone else would join in; when there wasn't this horrid mean streak running through it; when it was all about discovering each other and embracing what we discovered.

2. Having days when I had absolutely nothing to do.

3. All the friends who have moved away throughout my life.

4. Summers on my grandpa's farm in Kentucky.

5. Going to the pool every day during the summer.

6. My old doggie, Ming.

7. Friends who havent moved away, but I dont keep in touch with anymore.

8. Picking up my little sister from school every day and going to sonic for chili cheese fries.....

I miss going out dancing till 4 or 5 in the morning and then going to eat breakfast, all sweaty and smeared makeup, feeling so hot and sexy and good about life.

Nope - I haven't indulged in that thread. It's actually one that represents what I'm talking about, now that you mention it. On the other hand... I'm a sensitive beastie. We're not very welcome here anymore, and woe to the soft little creature who should roll over on its back to have its belly rubbed. Hopefully that season will turn.
