Potential cure for HIV discovered

"The enzyme is still far from being ready to use as a treatment, the authors warned, but it offers a glimmer of hope for the more than 40 million people infected worldwide."

Biiiig happy.

This is kind of a weird happy, but for some reason, I liked it. Found a scorpion mom with tons of babies on her back. They're oddly round, and their tiny pincers and tails move when their mom is agitated. She was clearly very interested in protecting them, and I just read that they grind up prey to feed them. (Who knew that baby scorpions are called "scorplings"?) Even though scorpions give me the willies a bit -- the stings hurt like the dickens -- I felt some kinship with her, as I was making sure my son was safe from her just like she was making sure her babies were safe from me. As cool as she was, she's been relocated away from the house.
