Thanks, Chuckie! I recently got a digital and am trying to get the hang of it. Everything being automatic throws me because I like having some manual control over my camera.
Yes, Mags, that Chimney Rock is in NC just East of Asheville. They shot a lot of the movie Last Of The Mohicans there as well as Dupont State Forest.
Give Kokopelli my regards if you see him! My sister returned from Bermuda with a Kokopelli tee shirt for me. I haven't taken it off since she gave it to me yesterday! Guess I'll have to eventually...wash day being what it is.

D- did you take those at the zoo?

I went to the zoo once and took a bunch of pics so it looked like I went to Africa and made up a big story and sent them to my friends. It worked for the most part. I am easily amused.

Took most of the animal pics at either Jax Zoo, St. Augustine Alligator Farm, or Atlanta Zoo. Most animals in the wild wait until I'm just about ready to hit the shutter and then leave.
Speaking of photos, I'm off to see if I can upload what I have right now!
Wish me luck!

Yes I've been up top of 'our' Chimney Rock several times, I had my kids on leashes hehe...quite a drop off the side! With the ruins and all, it's an interesting tour. The Native Amer. sent signals w/smoke from up there that were received (and replied to)all the way into New Mexico. Course Mesa Verde is the place to go if you're really interested in that sort of thing.

The mare and foal were on the beach at Cumberland Island Nat'l Seashore. Forgot I had that one in there.
Those were all my dogs. Elsie is no longer with us having gone to that big mud pit in the sky. She really enjoyed hopping the fence and visiting friends around the neighborhood when I was gone. She always came back a filthy mess!
Fred has lost weight since he got on his thyroid medication and Kodi has gained weight since he became a big adult dog!
Speaking of pictures, I have a new album of the vacation photos up at my Yahoo! Photos address!
Sorry it took so long to upload them. I also have some from the Alligator Farm and the zoo as well as a couple of Frankie and Janet. Frankie is now in the mountains at his *ahem* Summer Abode!
For some reason, a lot of the pictures came out kinda dark.
Great Photo, Mags! I'll have to consider a trip out there to see that! I'd love to see Kokopelli in his home turf!

Great photos. What fun it is to look at the world through the eyes (lens) of other travellers.
