Questions for a rainy New York day

It's been a while, thought I'd drop a few Q's....

1. You did something, and you've just been caught! What did you do?

2. Do you believe that music should be free on the Internet, or do you think it's wrong and stealing?

3. How would you describe your politics? Left, right, middle?

4. You're dating the perfect person, but they have a tremendous flaw -- what's the deal breaker for you in a relationship?

5. It's Sunday, typically a recover-from-the-weekend-lazy-day ... describe your typical Sunday.

6. Everyone has some artistic talent ... what's yours?

7. If you could go either back in time or forward in time to witness a momentous event, what would you choose and why?

8. It's pouring rain and you come up to a bus stop. Standing there is a really good old friend you haven't seen in a decade, the woman/man of your dreams, and an elderly woman who seems to be in medical distress and needs to go to a hospital. You're driving a two seater car, and can only take one passenger ... what do you do?

9. What's in your CD player right now?

10. You are given a glimpse of yourself in the future and you see that you've made some poor choices along the way. Do you resolve to correct those mistakes or do you leave them as is? And why?

11. Are you superstitious? If so, what about? If not, why not?

12. What's the last thing that made you smile?

And I guess that's it ... tally ho!

1. Shrug.

2. I have mixed feelings.

3. Neutral

4. Ö?

5. Paint or bask in the sunlight.

6. Illustrate, Paint, Write, Sculpture, Photography, Mixed Media Works, Web Design, etc.

(this is the latest painting that Iíve been working on)

7. 1984. I wonder what it would be like to watch myself being born.

8. The elderly woman. There is always a chance of seeing the friend another time and I wouldn't want the death of someone on my conscience.

9. Refused

10. I would probably change them. If you were given the chance to save yourself from pain later in life, why not?

11. Iím not, simply because I donít believe it.

12. The movie Adaptation.

1. You did something, and you've just been caught! What did you do?
-pretend I was doing something other than what it looked like I was doing

2. Do you believe that music should be free on the Internet, or do you think it's wrong and stealing?
-there should be a small fee (low cost, like $1.99 per song)

3. How would you describe your politics? Left, right, middle?
-non-existant; not much into politics, & I don't trust politians at all

4. You're dating the perfect person, but they have a tremendous flaw -- what's the deal breaker for you in a relationship?
-disrespect

5. It's Sunday, typically a recover-from-the-weekend-lazy-day ... describe your typical Sunday.
-when I'm not working (only one Sunday a month now.. wooohooo), I try to sleep as late as possible, & catch up on stuff I don't have the time/patience for during the week

6. Everyone has some artistic talent ... what's yours?
-make jewelry

7. If you could go either back in time or forward in time to witness a momentous event, what would you choose and why?
-the coronation of Czar Nicholas II & Czarina Alexandra; being a history major w/an art appreciation, I would have loved to see Russia in its Imperial heyday (glitz, etc...)

-I'd chat w/the friend under a nearby doorway, call an ambulance for the old woman, & drive off with the man o'my dreams

9. What's in your CD player right now?
"The Origin Of The Feces" Type O Negative

10. You are given a glimpse of yourself in the future and you see that you've made some poor choices along the way. Do you resolve to correct those mistakes or do you leave them as is? And why?
-I'd leave them as is; why I'd do so? because each experience, good or not, makes a person wiser (hopefully); that's how I look on the past, anyways

11. Are you superstitious? If so, what about? If not, why not?
-I embrace supersitions, & try to break as many as possible; does this mean I'm not superstitious? not really

12. What's the last thing that made you smile?
-besides answering these questions, buying food for my car

First performance of Shostakovich's 7th Symphony. Very special. Very symbolic. It was played in Leningrad during the WW2 siege. Peopel died during the rehearsals because they were too weak to play. During the concert, the bombing stopped for the first time in months. Music is freaking powerful.

7. I'd go back to see the universe come to be. Of courneed a few bags of popcorn. Why? It's the biggest event besides the moment fried chicken was invented.se this would be a long process so I'd

8. I'd ask the old lady if she needed to go to the hospital. If she did, I would take her of course. She she really didn't and just looked that way because she's old, my friend would understand me picking the woman of my dreams.

9. CD Player in my car - Tiger Army, Armchair Martian, Lagwagon, NOFX, AFI, No Use For A Name, Beck and three other CDs I can't think of.

1. You did something, and you've just been caught! What did you do?
Spent money that should have been earmarked for a bill on something small but frivolous.

2. Do you believe that music should be free on the Internet, or do you think it's wrong and stealing?
A low-quality download shouldn't cost anything - I've bought too many albums based on the strength of a song and found that the rest of the album was crap - I don't think it's stealing. Until record companies stop churning out garbage for money and get back to consistently nurturing artistry...it should be a service provided by the company as a good faith gesture.
Having said that, I've never downloaded anything by, for example, Radiohead. You pretty much know that when you buy one of their albums it's going to be fekkin' miraculous.

3. How would you describe your politics? Left, right, middle?
I tend towards the middle and left. The right pretty much makes me contract painfully into a raisin of disbelief and despair.

4. You're dating the perfect person, but they have a tremendous flaw -- what's the deal breaker for you in a relationship?
Lack of reciprocity and commitment.

5. It's Sunday, typically a recover-from-the-weekend-lazy-day ... describe your typical Sunday.
Nice breakfast... listen to music... either play on the computer or watch a movie. Or both.

6. Everyone has some artistic talent ... what's yours?
The one I've nurtured the most is singing. But I'm pretty good at most things creative - as are most creative people.

7. If you could go either back in time or forward in time to witness a momentous event, what would you choose and why?
Kissing Jeff the last time. Or the first time.

I'd take the old woman and tell the others to meet me at the hospital. If they were truly my really good old friend and the man of my dreams, they'd find me.

9. What's in your CD player right now?
Eagles Greatest Hits, I & II; Trial by Jury rehearsal cd

10. You are given a glimpse of yourself in the future and you see that you've made some poor choices along the way. Do you resolve to correct those mistakes or do you leave them as is? And why?
I don't know how to answer this - as a matter of fact, this is something I'm struggling with right now.

11. Are you superstitious? If so, what about? If not, why not?
A little... not sure if it's superstition or experience... I've learned (to try) not to have expectations about upcoming events because they usually don't turn out the way you hope/plan. Also about relationships - not sure if it's a superstition or not, but I've figured out that if I'm attracted to a guy, it's a sure bet I'll soon find out he's in a relationship, married or has a tremendous personality flaw.

12. What's the last thing that made you smile?
A fellow performer working out a conflict to a commitment she'd made in the way I personally would do.

1. You did something, and you've just been caught! What did you do?

Bat the ol' eyelashes.

2. Do you believe that music should be free on the Internet, or do you think it's wrong and stealing?

This is America, everything should be free. Seriously, though, I think the record companies are arseholes, and should lower the prices & put out a better product. $20 for a CD? You've got to be jerking my beefaroni.

3. How would you describe your politics? Left, right, middle?

I'm a dirty hippie. I don't know the definitions of left, right or all that.

4. You're dating the perfect person, but they have a tremendous flaw -- what's the deal breaker for you in a relationship?

Lying. Tell me the truth. Be a man & face the music. DOn't hide it from me b/c I WILL find out eventually.

5. It's Sunday, typically a recover-from-the-weekend-lazy-day ... describe your typical Sunday.

Sleep late, eggs for breakfast as a once-a-week treat, 2 mile walk, read the paper, spaghetti for dinner.

6. Everyone has some artistic talent ... what's yours?

Writing

7. If you could go either back in time or forward in time to witness a momentous event, what would you choose and why?

*snores* You know I can never think of anything good for questions like this. I could never choose just one thing. Impossible.

There is a correct answer for this, can't remember what it is. I woud take the elderly woman to the hospital, if he's the man of my dreams, he would understand that, same thing for the old friend.

9. What's in your CD player right now?

Golden Slumbers

10. You are given a glimpse of yourself in the future and you see that you've made some poor choices along the way. Do you resolve to correct those mistakes or do you leave them as is? And why?

I'd try to see why I made those choices & see how I could make it a bit better.

11. Are you superstitious? If so, what about? If not, why not?

Karma, Murphy's Law, etc.

12. What's the last thing that made you smile?

Heh.
