i have a strict policy against meeting people in person that i met through online associations. i broke that policy only once, and 4 years later that guy hired a minister and crammed a ring onto my finger, and now i have to share the TV remote.

Screw that. I met mine that way before there was even the internets. It was a little dial up world we called (shudder) local BBSes.

(and he liked Warren Zevon as much as I did)

Drank myself stupid at rimmie's once.......although, if I remember correctly, she drank herself to a level far beyond idiot that night as well, as did a few others. I could be wrong on the "few others" part; that may be my poor attempt at making rims feel better about it.....of course this last statement would negate that......hmm.....i'll shut up now.

For the record: Just because Tequilla is of a fancy brand and doesn't have the harsh bite to it, does not mean that it is any less potent.

Met my ball & chain on the internet 5 years ago. It's funny how people's acceptance and views on meeting someone from the internet has changed. 5 years ago people were shocked and not so approving. Heck, even 2 years ago. I used to tell people my husband and I met through a mutual friend and left out, "through a mutual friend, on the internet." Now people ask how we met and I say, straight up, on the internet. Several years ago I got a weird look, now I get a "Right on!"

i'm guilty of doing the same. but then i eventually fess up but explain that it was really more of a musical collaboration thing first, where we partnered up to remix some tunes together and never intended to meet in person. and then we were drawn to each other through the awesome power of music. aaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwbarf.
