What is it?
I need large sheet of this stuff, the fibers are aprox 1/16" thick, the stuff comes in sheets about 1"-2" thick...and I can't for the life of me remember where I saw this stuff before, what it is called, or where to find it...and ya, i google searched "plastic mat" plastic matting" "fiber matting" "loose plastic fiber matting" and as many variations I can think of.
Someone knows what this stuff is...spill. oh, and... HERE-WITHIN WE IDENTIFY MYSTERIOUS ITEMS FOR EACH OTHER, FOR UTILITY AND/OR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES. This is gonna be the best thread ever. ![]() Last edited by Coffee : 12-06-2010 at 08:35 PM. |

It appears to me to be ramen noodles.
![]() Of course, there's a tiny chance it could also be poly-extruded aquatic matting. |

I'm glad you posted this, actually. I've been trying to figure out what this thing is since my last trip into the fairie wood.

On a whim I googled "spaghetti mat" and got a ton of results that look like that thing.

oh man...that's really close Bman and pearly, had me excited for a sec, but no cigar. The stuff i'm looking for is used I think, fo insulating/padding...it has tons of airspace.
I need it to go under my mattress in my boat...moisture collects under it and I need a mostly air filled porous pad to raise and allow ventilation under all areas of the mattress. Actually, anyone that knows of a material suited to that use...please let me know. I am surprised how difficult it is id'ing what that stuff I saw was. As a last resort I might have to make a wood slat contraption...but that is a PITA to fit in a v-shaped bed. |

Lukku, you might possibly need to clean your salt shaker. Other than that guess I have no clue.
I'm very curious if anyone knows what creature this is? ![]() |

That looks like unrefined Gak. Nickelodeon sends washed up child actors in to the mines to collect it for further processing.
