So what did everyone get for Christmas?
I'm getting old. My little sister got a guitar. I got a blender.
What did everyone else get? And best/worst presents of all time? |

I got a package of 15 boxes of mac'n'cheese, a Family Guy poster and a fuzzy body pillow.
A. Who needs actual boxes when there's Easy Mac? B. I haven't put an actual poster up since I was 16. C. I don't sleep with the body pillow I already have. Bah. Humbug.

A leaf shredder/branch chipper!! and I did ask for it!!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() fifteen years ago I received the worst gift which was a homemade velour sweat suit (in acky green) my mother-in-law had made for me. when I opened it, I had about 50 of my relatives watching me waiting for one of my typical rude remarks. unfortunately, my mother-in-law was sitting right next to me, so I had to bite my tongue - very hard - and plaster a pleased smile on my face. ![]() Last edited by Jack Flanders : 12-25-2006 at 03:54 PM. |

so sorry - a woman somewhere in the Trenton area who shops at Goodwill Industries is enjoying the green velour sweat suit. I will look for her, though. Maybe she'll let me take her picture with my new cell phone!!!

Voodoo knife block set.
Amber bracelet. Couple of really good books. Elizabeth Arden green tea perfume. A fountain. Worst present of all time? There were so many - I can't be the only person inundated with relatives who think paua shell jewelry isn't just for kiddies. Naturally though, the George Orwell compendium at age seven takes the blue ribbon.

The least favorite is the caveman doll made from pantyhose who, when you lift his beard, exposes his.. err.. genitals. We've been passing thsi one back and forth throughout hte family. |

I can never answer the first question in these threads: too gross.
As for the least desirable gift this year, well, it has to be an alarm clock featuring an ugly green picture of a waterfall which will wake you with gradually increasing sound and light (the light illuminating the ugly waterfall) -- you can choose from different sounds, like birdsong and the actual waterfall. Fortunately, though, it was a gift for RatMan, who wakes to my voice every day -- so this may be an improvement, who knows. |

I got Lego's. That is it, but it is all that I asked for, so I got LOTS of Lego's. I am planning on building a HUGE trebuchet to launch things at people who live in the same apartment with me. Thank you Lego's.
Worst: A big baby blue pillow with the word 'Princess' embroidered to it. |
