I feel Fridayish. Also, Fridaish, as if there was a controlled provocation test lumbering somewhere all too near.

What do you mean "nothing happened"!? We're all poised for a story, a narrative, an apocalyptic bang, and what do we get? This "nothing happened" whimper! Make something up!

Oh, Frieds, Marcus is just being testy. He's trying to make a controlled provocation test of his own with you. Let those painkillers do the work for you now...

ok OK OK i'll tell the whole story then

i arrived at the hospital this morning at 8, was taken to the intensive care unit, got into a hospital jacket & pants thing (sexy open back *cough*) was scared shit for the iv needle-- nice lady went completely through my vein instead of inserting it.

then i got stickered with patches and was hooked to a heart monitor, a saturation meter and one of those things that go around your arm to measure blood pressure.

the professor came by and gave me ibuprophen and i had to report how i was feeling every 10 minutes to the ICU ladies. they had some sort of issue with my heart rate at one point, it being too slow at 65bpm, but i explained that that's normal for me.. and my low blood pressure too.

so nothing weird happened, no anaphylaxis, not even a sneeze or a cough or a swollen throat, so an hour later i got the next dose of ibuprophen.. then another and another and another, and at 2 this afternoon i could go home again!

i did get two antihistamine tablets in case i have some sort of weird late response.. the instructions are to eat those pills, call an ambulance, open the front door and lie down till the paramedics arrive.. but i think i'm fine

there were some odd people in the ICU though.. they all had some sort of eye surgery and came in with ventilators and bleeding eyes. it reminded me of that movie Event Horizon.. gruesome.

^Feel very happy that you had no problems

And enjoying the detailed report

I also have this low heart beat / low blood pressure thing! (You also have problems getting in any 'higher gears' in the morning, I guess?) Ibuprofen rocks!

Whoa, that last part is sort of creepy

Were there some hot dudes (assistant docs, paramedics, patients) to give your eyes some pleasure during the boring parts?
