In the sixth grade, at Hodgkin's Junior High School in Augusta, Maine, I wish hadn't teased Jason Watson so unmercifully. I've felt badly about that for a very long time, and wish I could apologize to him personally. He put up with it very patiently for a year, and the next year he didn't come back. I wish him well and hope he's happy. For a 12-year-old, he was painfully smart and achingly handsome and very very brave. I was an angry kid from a mean family, and he didn't deserve my wrath.
 I wish,oh how I wish he would somehow see this and forgive me.
