I am officially relinquishing emotional investment in my current theatrical project. If these two goats in my lovely cast of lambs can't let go of their mahoosive egos long enough to take some good, solid direction that will make them look brilliant, then I'm not getting paid enough to worry too much about them, and will now seek to minimize the damage before opening.

Oh DEAR! Is it from your contact lenses?
Did the physician give you antibiotic drops?
((tea made with goldenseal used as an eyewash is comforting
but I would say use it only as a stopgap while waiting to get into to see a real doctor you know

http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/g...eal-000252.htm

which i am sure you have already done...
What did the doctor say Lukki?

big worried face goes here.....

^please dont put tea in your eyes-- it may be comforting but might also infect it with fungal spores.

I got in at the local hospital eye center today and my keratitis was the subject of an ad-hoc demonstration for the benefit of a med student

doc fixed me up with eyedrops though and I'm going to see a corneal specialist tomorrow morning - I think I'm fine now, pain and redness have started to recede.

thanks everyone

^Good, good, very good Lukku

My own good news:
Note: if long blather about something silly bores you, please just skip to the next post with my apologies. Thanks.

Last month, on the way home from a job, I found myself in the neighborhood of the unstable "friend" who, last September, came into our house while we were gone and stole one of our family dogs. I have been sad and depressed all winter long because of it, and felt powerless in the face of his many and various threats. My birthday this year was particularly difficult because Atticus as a puppy had been a birthday present five years ago, so we'd always just counted it as his birthday too.
This attorney works all day and into the evening and kept Atticus and another dog locked alone in a tiny house with a dog door out to a tiny deck.

On impulse, heart pounding, I parked around the corner, walked up to the wrought iron gate and called to Atticus, telling myself that I just wanted to see how he was doing. He came hurtling out the dog door and threw himself at me through the bars of the gate. As he whined and howled and wagged at me furiously, the big dog that lived there nipped and growled at him. I decided to steal him back, so I lifted him easily over the gate, and put him on the ground. He practically danced as he followed me to my car and hopped in. I could hardly breathe as I drove him home.
I'll skip the ugly drama that ensued that night involving a furious, emotionally unbalanced man who had been bested at his own game.

Our back yard has fleas that Atticus is allergic to, and he was already reacting to them again, so I immediately drove him out to good friends who are retired. They have three other dogs out in the country on 60 acres of high ground where it gets too cold for fleas.
My family and I just spent Easter with them.
Atticus is now a true country dog, happy in his "pack" and devoted to his new owners, who love him and spoil him. He looks wonderful. He loves being outside all day long, and his favorite pastime is digging up to his shoulders after gophers. All his nervous city behaviors are gone - no more whining, no more clinging - he's a happy, calm little normal dog now. He sat affectionately with me most of the time, looking at me, but made it clear who his new masters are.
This makes me very very happy and a weight has lifted.
I'm extremely grateful to the people on this board who pm'd me - and to Jack in particular - for patiently listening to the excruciating details of this completely ridiculous, idiotic story and holding my silly hand through this and making me laugh. Thank you. I heart you.
