^ I witnessed that. I was at the beach, and some poor girl was using the port-o-potty, and some jerks tipped it over. Poor thing was in a bikini, and well EVERYTHING was all over her. It was the meanest most gross thing I've ever seen.

traumatic diaphragmatic hernia
![]() graphic image of cat intestines This doesn't give me the heebie jeebies, I thought it was a pretty cool surgery. This is a common car vs pet injury. Abdominal organs are pushed through a tear in the diaphragm, move into the chest cavity and remain there. In this picture you can see the liver and intestines. The tissue in the front, that's been cut away, is adipose tissue. So yes, vets can sometimes do some cosmetic surgery. One sign of such an injury is labored breathing, due to the lungs not having enough room to fully expand. Another reason to keep your cats indoors. ![]() p.s. Sylvia recovered wonderfully and was soon adopted. Last edited by Frieda : 05-13-2007 at 06:01 AM. Reason: that's not safe for children |

After the poison oak thing was over, I took said kiddo to the park. I had him leave his juice box in the car, because the playground is near picnic tables and trashcans, and there are always tons of bees. The trash cans were full, the tables had soda cans all over them, nice day...
No bees. Not one. *shudder* |

The shower floor here at the marina I live at.
The Fvcking maintenance crew hasn't touched it in over 3 months...complaint registered...possible withholding of some of my live aboard fee being considered. Charging a janitorial fee for cleaning it myself in self defense if necc also being considered. |

I was looking in the mirror today, readying myself for a date, when I noticed some obscene nose hairs. Readily seen to a scrutinizing eye, I shaved them with my tiny shaver. For about two hours afterword there was all kinds of shit was getting up in there, and not at all accustomed to the usual temperature and making my nose twitch.

I was just remembering a shudder of a couple of weeks ago...
I was standing in my kitchen, cooking, and the doorknob on the door the the bedroom nearby turned. By itself. No cats, kids, dogs, etc. in the house, no windows open. It's an old house, with those funky cast iron doorknobs, so maybe it just shifted, but I hafta say, it gave me pause. ![]() |
