PEGGY: So you were attracted to her! You must think she's one hot tamale if you couldn't even stand to have her in the office.
HANK: Peggy, she's gone, I'll never see her again.
PEGGY: Except when you close your eyes and kiss me, right? Is that what you're saying?

PETER: Lois, you've got a sick mind!
LOIS: Peter, I'm talking about making love.
PETER: Oh, I thought you wanted us to murder the children and harvest their organs for beer money.

i think i saw you in an ice-cream parlour, drinking milk shakes cold and long
smiling and waving and looking so fine, don't think
you knew you were in this song

four bright eyes gazed longingly at the ice-cream
in the hand of the little bombardier
sunshine entered our frankies days
gone his worries, his hopeless maze
his life was fun and his heart was full of joy
two young children had changed his aims
he gave them toffees and played their games
he brought them presents with every coin he made
then two gentlemen called on him
asked him for his name

it was dark at night when they awoke, and hansel comforted gretel and said, "wait, when the moon comes up i will be able to see the crumbs of bread that I scattered, and they will show us the way back home."

the moon came up, but when hansel looked for the crumbs, they were gone. the many thousands of birds in the woods had found them and pecked them up.

people have stars, but they aren't the same. for travelers, the stars are guides. for other people, they're nothing but tiny lights. and for still others, for scholars, they're problems. for my businessman, they were gold. but all those stars are silent stars. you, though, you'll have stars like nobody else.

when you look up at the sky at night, since I'll be living on one of them, since I'll be laughing on one of them, for you, it'll be as if all the stars are laughing. you'll have stars that can laugh!

and when you're consoled (everyone is eventually consoled), you'll be glad you've known me. you'll always be my friend. you'll feel like laughing with me. and you'll open your windows sometimes just for the fun of it... and your friends will be amazed to see you laughing while you're looking up at the sky. then you'll tell them, 'yes, it's the stars. they always make me laugh!'

winken, blinken, and nod one night
sailed off in a wooden shoe --
sailed off on a river of crystal light,
into a sea of dew.
"where are you going, and what do you wish?"
the old moon asked the three.
"we have come to fish for the herring fish
that live in the beautiful sea;
nets of silver and gold have we!"
said winken,
blinken,
and nod.

the old moon laughed and sang a song,
as they rocked in the wooden shoe,
and the wind that sped them all night long
ruffled the waves of dew.
the little stars were the herring fish
that lived in the beautiful sea --
"now cast your nets wherever you wish --
never afeard are we";
so cried the stars to the fisherman three:
winken,
blinken,
and nod.

all night long their nets they threw
to the stars in the twinkling foam --
then down from the skies came the wooden shoe
bringing the fisherman home;
'twas all so pretty a sail it seemed
as if it could not be,
and some folks thought 'twas a dream they'd dreamed
of sailing that beautiful sea --
but i shall name you the fishermen three:
winken,
blinken,
and nod.

winken and blinken are two little eyes,
and nod is a little head,
and the wooden shoes that sailed the skies
is the wee one's trundle-bed.
so shut your eyes while father sings
of wonderful sights that be,
and you shall see the beautiful things
as you rock in the misty sea,
where the old shoe rocked the fisherman three:
winken,
blinken,
and nod.

as is the sea marvelous
from gods
hands which sent her forth
to sleep upon the world

and the earth withers
the moon crumbles
one by one
stars flutter into dust

but the sea
does not change
and she goes forth out of hands and
she returns into hands

and is with sleep.

love,
....the breaking

of your
.... soul
.... upon
my lips

she floats like a swan
grace on the water
lips like sugar
lips like sugar
sugar kisses
just when you think you've caught her
she glides across the water
she calls for you tonight
to share this moonlight
you'll flow down her river
she'll ask you and you'll give her
lips like sugar
sugar kisses
she'll be my mirror
reflect what i am
a loser and a winner
the king of siam
and my siamese twin

The rain had fallen, the Poet arose
He passed by the town and out of the street
A light wind blew from the gates of the sun
And waves of shadow went over the wheat
And he set him down in a lonely place
And chanted a melody loud and sweet
That made the wild-swan pause in her cloud
And the lark drop down at his feet
The swallow stopt as he hunted the bee
The snake slipt under a spray
The hawk stood with the down on his beak
And stared, with his foot on the prey
And the nightingale thought I have sung many songs
But never a one so gay
For he sings of what the world will be
When the years have died away

Alfred Lord Tennyson

DALE: These birds don't stand a chance against this ultrasonic bird distress emitter. (evil laugh) I was up all night listening to sounds that'll drive you crazy.
(Dale turns on horribly annoying, loud sounds.)
HANK: How long does this have to go on for?
DALE: Forever.
