Î have…

- been onstage several times
- helped people through difficult times
- developed an uncanny aptitude for dealing with curmudgeons of every flavor
- been nicer than is probably healthy
- been to the other side
- learned prepress, poetry, watercolor, computer repair, and other things
- hopped the pond and met someone wonderful
- changed this post for the better, I hope.

so far in my life:

I have seen the Beatles perform live

was on TV when I was 5 (local show)

played the flute and the piano

been to more concerts than should be legal

been married, had a child, and divorced before the age of 20

regretted every minute of my first marriage, but would do it again to have the same child

been robbed at gunpoint at work

helped deliver a baby, countless kittens and puppies

knew my 2nd husband was the "one" immediately, and nearly ruined it by being arrogant and self-rightous

sat with a loved one and held my breath as he took his last.

watched helplessly as an 8 year old boy was told of his father's death

am amazed that after 20 years of marriage, I am still excited to see my husband come through the door

never done drugs

been held in contempt of court

won an award for my Chocolate Chip Cookies

spoken in public

led an unremarkable life

1. I have lived in Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Chilliwack, Sechelt, York, Seattle and New York. Packed up and moved to most of these places within a week's notice.

2. I have visited; England, Scotland, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Egypt and the Bahamas. So far my favorite place is Geneva.

3. I have dated two rocks "stars" -- one when I was in high school and his band was voted Juno winner of the year (Grammy's equivalent in Canada). He wrote me a song that appeared on their third album for my birthday. The second, well, he turned into a superfreak.

4. I made it to New York five years out of college, to a fairly senior position.

5. I have been in love only twice.

6. Watched a guy's brains get shoveled into the back of a pickup truck -- then had the sheriff hold the back of my pants as I puked.

7. Witnessed the first attempt at an official native indian peace treaty in Canada.

8. Took ballet for 20 years.

9. Have three degrees -- first two are useless, third's the charm.

10. Modelled in NYC when I was 17, for a summer -- it paid for college.

i have raised three boys to men. good men at that.

i have built and flown hang gliders (out of bamboo and plastic sheeting at first) before there were hang glider manufacturers.

i have flown a hang glider of my own design and handiwork from a mountaintop and sailed 400 feet above an unwitting herd of cows.

i have been knocked clean out cold by a swinging boom.

i have never eaten a peach, pear, strawberry, cherry, or most other fruit.

i have had a successful ten year marriage to a self decribed lifelong lesbian.

i have watched my father serve two years in a federal prison while in his seventies.

i have won a local emmy for broadcast design.

i have performed in front of thousands of people in regional theater.

i have developed computer based training for grades three through six for the preeminent historical organization in america.

i have made a packed house sponatneously stand and cheer in unison during a showing of "the wizard of oz."

See? I think this is far more glamourous ... anyone who raises a child -- that's to be envied.

I totally agree. It's one thing I'll never do.

I know you would like a child but you would not trade with me personally for a second. Trust me on this one, there's more to me and it than meets the eye.
