Reading a new thread with only a link in it to a huge-sized message with photos that I just finished reading hits pretty high on the sigh-o-meter. I mean, why post in the original thread, when you can create a new one reliving it instead?

Other than that, hearing the garbage truck outside bright and early when no one had taken the garbage out made me sigh today. To not be anyone's external brain for just one day!

Going to the post office to pick up a package that the mailman could not fit into my mailbox and waiting for a full hour until the post-person tells me that they may have sent my packet off to another destination by inadvertance, may he please have my phone number in case they find it ?

I'd like to counter the picture of above with the following realities of the picture below.

Douglas Steenland
Northwest Airlines

You can't see the photos of devastation this man has created in the lives of the American people who work for the company he runs. If you could, it would be much darker and more sinister than the propaganda intended in the picture above.

While the American workers who saved his company took a 40% cut is wages, loss of health care and retirement benefits under threat, this man receives a salary that is more than 400% above the original pay of his labor force, along with a $26 million bonus and health care for life. Even if he runs the company into the ground when his 4 year contract is complete, his money is in escrow and can't be touched.

There are too many like him working quietly in the background as they greedily fill their pockets with the shattered glass of the lives of hard working people.

In this thread the sigh is the moral compass of the person who set the original post in current events. It is meant to shock, an example of yellow journalism; if it bleeds it leads.

There is no real or documented historical perspective that follows this picture in the thread.

I contend that the intended posting of this photo accompanied by the propaganda is only meant to spit in the faces of those who frequent this board.

Craig would post what made him sigh, not what he would post on. Anybody that posted under Duke now would just be reinforcing that, I would think you both would know better than that, this is what bothers him, and me too.

Thanks, but I'd rather post what i want too.

You guys don't post under the thread-fascist, why should we?

Reprimanding somebody for making a useless thread, then posting on it anyway makes me sigh.

The original post made me sigh too, but sighing about a post and then posting about sighing about it, then posting about sighing about the sigher who posted about the post that made him sigh makes me sigh.

Well, summarizing the content of the "offending" thread might have made me sigh less than just posting a link to it without explanation, but that hobby horse is always fun to ride, isn't it, Audrey?

Bath and Body Works is having their clearance sale, so I decided to use the $50 gift card I got for Christmas. At checkout, I learned that the gift card was only good for $25 but at that point I wanted everything I had in my cart so I ended up spending $25. Boo!
