Will the U.S. Invade Iran?

I don't think we will. Not because we're thinned out to the point we're using National Guardsmen and recalling inactive reserve to send to Iraq but because Iran is only a political issue for Republicans to look tough and win elections.

People are still dying in parts of Africa because of Saddam-like people, North Korea is still working on their nuclear capabilities and are at the point of testing missiles in the Sea of Japan, what makes Iran any different?

On top of that, knowing that the younger generation of Iran were primarily pro-U.S., why would our leader add to anti-Americanism by threatening to invade a country that has hope within the next 5-10 years? They either need to decide to support us and end up like Iraq or they will have to fight us. I know I wouldn't want to live in Iraq right now.

Summary, either Bush is really stupid or it's for political gain. Either way, I believe we won't invade Iran.
