Tricky Question

Hey Ze,

I've got a difficult social question that you n' the rest of the Sports Racers may be able to help me with. Normally, I'd sit down and work this out for myself, or turn to someone with a bit more sense, but I figured after seeing you answer a number of questions from fans (I may be a newbie in the Forum, but I'm a die-hard fan of The Show), I'm hoping you can help me out:

Tomorrow will be my 15th birthday (woohoo!), and I was joking around with one of my friends (hereafter known as "Joe") in school. He asked me what I would like as a present, and I jokingly said "World peace, unity of the races, and the 3rd Season of Arrested Development. Apparently this was overheard by another boy in my class ("Bob"), who is, one could say, a bit of a social moron. I've been nice to him over the past three years; watching his back and keeping him out of trouble. Now, he's come to think of me as his friend, even though our interactions can be basically summed up by: Ultimate Frisbeee, a general interest in gardening, and the fact that we're both Democratic. So our conversations mostly involve comparing runner bean techniques while discussing our annoyance with the president and throwing his orange frisbee back and forth.

Anyway (sorry to ramble), Joe has just called, telling me that Bob has just purchased Arrested Development for me, and will be giving me 75 bucks along with it. Not to say that this isn't a nice present. I'd be happy to receive that any day. Just not from "Bob", who is at our private school only because of the financial support he gets from his wealthy cousins. I just feel that taking approx. $100 from him would be horrible, since he hasn't had a shirt without some sort of hole in it for 2+ years. Sooo...any advice on how to handle this? One doesn't usually refuse a gift, and it seems impossible to do without offending the giver.

Any advice is welcome; I've gotta solve this by 9:00 tomorrow!
