Omar works in a Vodka factory on the bad side of Leningrad. His wife, Marina, is having an affair with a baker; his daughter,Antonina, lost her prosperous boyfriend ( Ivan ) to her brother, Yuri...she is now deeply depressed. Yuri is overjoyed at this turn of events and is celebrating by taking lessons with the Bolshoi Theatre Group.
