i'm so over what the media is telling me about the "black vote"........i'm liberal and white so where do i fit in.

I've been a little put off by the media describing American voters by using the term "black" as I am by them using the term "white" as I would be if they used the terms "red" or "yellow."
Is saying African American, Obama Supporters or better yet a Portion of Americans take too long to say? Describing voters by race seems very divisive, but perhaps that is what sells newspapers. |

When it comes to politics, it is no more as absurd to mention skin color as it is to mention Republican or Democrat. A persons value shouldn't be evaluated by skin color or by political party.
But I did enjoy Oprahs answer to why now, for the 1st time ever, she has backed a political candidate. Obama is the 1st bonifide black candidate~and this is Oprahs first political endorsement. Uh yeah, like she says, "Race has nothing to do with it."..uh huh !
