On saturday night I stumbled merrily out of the pub and acting silly was pursuaded to go for a sprint up the dirt track with my friend.

I'd only just reached top speed when I lost my footing and fell, most spectacularly, full-frontal. Skidding superman-stylee along dirt, gravel, rocks etc for what felt like about ten metres.

And here I am monday lunchtime sat in work with both my hands bandaged up, and impressive grazes on my elbows, forearms and stomach.

Amazingly both knees survived intact.

Oh and did I mention that my office is infested with ants?
