i forgot my mom's birthday so i e-mailed her...

Mom, I am going to call you tonight to wish you a happy birthday. Don't age until then, promise me. I want you also to know that I love you and that I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for you. Don't take that as an insult either. I just want you to know that not a day goes by when I am not thankful that you gave me a chance and never gave up on me. A lot of people might have gone a different route. Every time I am faced with a difficult decision I think about what you would do... and I go with what I feel is right. I learned a lot from you and everyday I am discovering new things that I didn't know I believed, usually when I do, I see a lot of you in those discoveries. Mom, thank you. Thank you for helping to guide me to what I have grown into... the shoes don't fit so well sometimes, but then again I am still growing. Thank you for being there every time I am hit with a panic attack or have no other shoulders to cry on. Thank you for bearing some of the wait on my shoulders when it was more than I could take. Thank you for being proud of me even when I am not proud of myself. Thank you for shaking me when I needed a shaking and hugging me when I needed a hug. Mom, thank you for being you. Happy 29th.
