My poor sis.

Just thought this needed sharing.




Today, my mom took my sis and me to this really great Chinese restaurant. Only, it was only a cheap, not all that great offshoot of a really great restaurant. My sister had never been there, and she was really looking forward to it. Disappointment number one.

After we left, we went to buy groceries. This was actually pretty cool, because Mindy (the sis) and I got to point at things and have them magically appear in the cart. Then we went to this appointment that I was supposed to go to. It was a sort of interview to see whether I was good enough to get into the homeschool program I want to get into. My mom was comsidering getting Mindy into it as well if she couldn't go to Robinson or Hamilton (two middle schools she wants to attend) next year. The lady didn't bother to show up for my interview, so my sis didn't get any info on that. Disappointment number two.

After we left the homeschool office, we drove by Hamilton to see if we could at least get Mindy enrolled today. There was a marquee up front saying that they wouldn't be enrolling until Wednesday, and that they'd be way across town. Oh well, at least we didn't have to go in.

We drove on to what was to be the highlight of our day: The fish store. Mom decided to take us somewhere besides the place we usually go, just for the helluvit. Well, we got there and the fish sucked. We eventually decided on a gorgeous, orange, black, and white-striped goldfish for Mindy, a tiny yellow African carnivore for me, and two pretty, grey-and-red guppies to decorate the living room. Fun, fun, fun.

Then we got home. Mindy was going to float the fish and put the groceries away, while Mom dropped me off at the laundromat and did a few errands.mindy was going to go change the water for the three fish she already had, only to find that two of them had died. Disappointments number three and four. She didn't cry, but she was really upset. Mom let her have a toffee before dinner and play some games on the computer. She soon cheered up, and we all went shopping.

The shopping wasn't bad. We only went to one store, but I got two new pair of jeans, a tee-shirt and a hat, Mindy got an outfit, and Mom got a whole bunch of clothes that Mindy will definitely borrow. Then we got home, had dinner, watched TV for a while. Then, right before Mindy went to bed, she went to check on her new goldfish. It was on the bottom onf the bowl, gills wide, greyish, and immobile.

Mindy lost three pets in one day.
