The birds and the bees

ok, so spill your stories of asking your parents embarrasing questions about the birds and the bees when you were a kid...

It looks like even the internet is bashful..

keeping them as fresh and exciting as when you asked the first time

clickity click

hahahahaha, cute link.

I never asked, but in about 3rd grade I got handed a book & we read it together & my mom asked if I had any questions. What I wanted to know was how she ever got that close to my father w/o spitting on him, but I didn't ask that, just said "No".

The book was called Where Do I Come From? and had hilarious illustrations.

I read that book too!!

I remember one time, I had to be about 7 or 8 years old and we were at a big dinner party with a bunch of my dad's colleague's. They had put all of us kids in another room to watch movies while they drank and had some laughs. We ended up popping in a tape of that old Tom Hanks movie, I think it was called the Bachlor Party.

So we were sitting there at the table and I looked over at my dad and asked "Dad? What is a blowjob?"

The table got real quiet. He told me to ask my mom when we got home......

I found out gradually. My parents usually talk openly around us kids, plus I had two older brothers. Between the two, I managed to figure it out.

In my first sex-ed class (aka family life) when I was 10, they told us everything.

I thought sex was a joke.

still do.

Then Mum gave me the book, "Asking about Sex and Growing Up" They reffered to sex as "husband and wife 'rubbing hips together." boy was that confusing.

when I was 15, I was laying out in the back yard in my bikini and practicing my back bends for cheerleader tryout. (I failed miserably) my mom came out and asked me "Have you had sex yet?" In shock I said NO! She said she just noticed me looking like a "woman"

It freaked me out.

my mom went the book route as well, but it came from the Moddess company, so there was also a sample packet of all their products (convenient, huh?)

she did it REAL early, which was lucky, 'cause i started REAL early (age 11 i think)

problem is, as soon as i knew the real story, i told my younger cousin and he told his mother, and she was horrified (stupid prude)
