As a peer said on my last day prior to taking maternity leave:

"It's the only time you can defecate in public, and nobody minds!"

Passing something the size of a meatloaf through something the size of a pea is what freaks me out....

def·e·cate ( P ) Pronunciation Key (df-kt)
v. def·e·cat·ed, def·e·cat·ing, def·e·cates
v. intr.
To void feces from the bowels.

Basically, when you are giving birth, you use the same muscles to push the baby out with that you do to take a crap with. They used to give manditory enimas to women before they would take them in to have the baby. They now just deal with that fact that you are going to shat yourself while you are giving birth and deal with it.....

It is kind of messy all around..

Thanks, I know what it means, Zen! LoL

I'm not sure what I was thinking - maybe that somehow poopie just disappears when such a magical thing as giving birth occurs.

See, isn't that sad?

The time is running out. A tie for the names Jake and Alex. Looks like we are going in on Friday to try to turn the baby over as he is breeched. If it works, we can go home and hope that all goes well till the delivery, if they can not turn him upsidedown, then we have to plan for a Cesarean section. That maybe schedualed around the 7th. It is possible that this procedure could induce labor or cause complications that will mean delivering right then. I will keep ya'all posted.

My uncle's wife's baby just dropped. She is due October 4! They are naming him Mason Peter.

My stream-of-consiousness thoughts on Baby Lugen:

Gabe.

Gabe Navarro Mayo Lugenbuehl.

Gabey baby.

Baby Gabey.

Alex makes me think of Alex P Keaton & this little kid I used to babysit for.

Mmmmmmm, Jake Ryan.

So I guess my vote is for Jake (again).

Jake and Alex are our and most peoples (poll) top choices but there is just something that is not making them stick. Grace does not like Gabe although I do. Justin has been thrown out altogether for Josh.(ick) and I am still pushing for Tanner. Maybe we will go with Happy.
Happy Day Lugenbuehl.

Whatever you do, don't name him Clive. I hate that name.

I looovvveee Jack though. Sounds so strong and succinct. To the point. Oh, I forgot about Jack on Will and Grace.

Never mind.

Jax, like in Mortal Combat....
Orange could be the solution to worrying about a name that could rhyme with something bad.
