I know that we have a law that says that every worker must have access to free drinkable water at work. In the winter there must be possibility to have hot water (to make tea, coffee) while during the rest of the year just drinkable water. And sanitary and work inspectors are always checking it, especially in offices and factories.
Polish law is more or less same like in the rest of Europe so I think you have right to drink as much of free water as you like.
The other story is who's gonna tell about this law to your boss...

For all she knows, this is what they're doing right now.

Chuckie, I bring my own water, too. The water here is softened & salty to the taste. Blech. Also, w/my kidneys, I cannot have the salt, so I bring my own & keep it in the fridge.

We're not allowed to have kettles either, for 'safety reasons.' But of course, its much safer to carry four cups of coffee down a flight of stairs and through two doors! Its ridiculous!

After a small research i found that the right to have water is only when:
temperature is over 28 C (in building) or 25 C (for people working in the open air)
temperature is below 10 C

hmmm
that's unhuman

if the machine has a cup dispenser with it, i guess it's safe to assume they are disposible cups. So maybe they're not charging you for the water, but for the cup.

I don't think the date is there for the water. I think it's for the plastic container. Somewhere (don''t know where) I've heard that the plastic or chemicals from the plastic can leach into the water.
