At this very moment, I'm pissed off. To be totally honest, I'm not 100% sure why; my mood will most likely change after this thread is posted.

Please be assured that this is not some lame attempt at getting attention (because it's not). If you choose to reply (or not), that's fine with me. I've found that one of the many great aspects of this board is that any & all topics are welcome, including when one is in a pissy mood.

Emotional outlets (especially Anon E Mouse places like this) are to be utilized whenever possible, because holding s*** in isn't a good thing (trust me on that).

I am sooo pissed off. I do the biggest charity ball invitation and program in town for 3 years, so last year I did my kid's school's one as well. Hours and hours for free, and the thing was a freakin masterpiece of what's for dinner and auction items, if I don't say so myself. So, it's like understood that I was going to do the one this year for them as well.

So somebody tells me that they've hired a "graphic artist" to do it this year. I didn't go to any farking meetings, because all I need to know is what they decided to do and put it in the damn brochure, and they are paying this friend of some committee member $45. an hour to do this. I freakin practically give blood to these people, and am constantly doing charity work, and I am completely, constantly overlooked. That's what pisses me off the most, being overlooked.

I've had my name left off my art. Had people thank everyone except me. One charity, for my 9th year doing the charity, decided they'd all sign one of my own posters and give it to me as an award. I couldn't decide whose throat to stuff it down, so I just threw it away. There was no 10th year. I had, as well, specifically asked that they not single me out in front of the group, for any reason, as I hate that. Being singled out to thank, I hate that, but if they had me in a group, as those charity things are, then its' ok. I don't sign up for a charity to be thanked individually, its a group effort, always.

The kid's school debacle is not that I want to be thanked, its that it makes what I did completely invisible, for nothing, as if I didn't exist. I had considered myself an asset to that stupid school. Well, I can be an asset to the next one, huh?

What a perfect opportunity to beetch. I needed it, thanks. F'n A.

Im not real good at keepin things inside, you should of heard the bloody fit I pitched in the parking lot of the school when somebody told me! tee hee

Audrey, I'm sorry to hear about that unfortunate situation. As Wendy in the South Park movie says, "F*** them. F*** them right in the ear!"

I ws secretly hoping that all of us together could come up with some evil plan, one that would get me free tuition for the rest of the year, or better yet, revenge. Nah. maybe.

I'm really relieved to be rid of that job, doing the program for the school, the're idiots with limited funding, and they are too heads up their butts rich to care that this is a fundraiser.

Thats what I get for associating with idiots.

There is nothing worse than having others take credit for your own work. This has happened to me several times. My best friend bitches at me when it happens, and tells me to confront these people. It is easier for me to let it go. Besides I don't want to look like a whiner , "But it was my idea, my work".

Still, it really hurts.

those programs for benefits and the like are a lot of work, i feel for you man if you did it for free. i print those things to film all the time, it amazes me the anount of work that goes into them for nothing. who ever dumped you in favor of a paid "graphic artist" is a moron.i hope they get a postscript error

5. someone important will come up to a board member and say, why didn't you use Aud? These posters aren't nearly as good. You paid what? You farkwads!

...and they will ask you to come back next year but by that point you will be doing Santana's new stage set and you will be too rich and too busy.
