For your inner geek

My roommate just got excited about this...He is a CIS student.

go to

Avantbrowser.com

To quote my roommate "This is a web browser that has advanced features and short cuts better than internet explorer and netscape. It also has a flash blocker, and pop up blocker"

Yep, the Avant Browser is cool. I used it for about a year until just recently. It has some glitches that drove me crazy so I just switched back to IE

Do tell. (I just downloaded Avant Browser so I'm curious as to what might go wrong...)

Occasional browser lock up (even if one window would lock, the entire browser would lock up)

Pop up Stopper didn't always stop pop ups

Occasionally the browser would just disappear (no puff of smoke though), would be working along and Boink! Avant gone...shut down, off (this is waaay irritating)

There are some more little things I can't remember at the moment, but I knew by your quick posting that you'd probably be online checking for this! My hubby's the programmer, he'll be home soon, I'll ask him too and post more when I have it.

It's still worth a try though Klynne... I LOVED it at first, until the glitches got the best of me. Good luck! Don'tcha love finding new gadgets online? My husb uses a messenger organizer thingy he loves..where you access all your msgr programs on one little program (instead of opening ICQ, AOL, MSN etc...) I think it's called Trillion (?)
