Hail was a foot deep in some parts of Los Angeles on Thursday after an unusual storm. Matthew Johnson, 14, shoveled out a car in Watts, part of the South-Central section that was particularly hard hit.

I was there in like 1979. oooOoOOOOO In a big yellow cloud of red-alert smog. Liked Malibu. Liked sittin next to movie stars in restaurants, liked how nice people were. I had no idea how many alternative lifestyles there really were. The Atlantic is warmer, tho.

Los Angeles is our unruly neighbor to the north, we put a huge military base in between us and them to keep them away from us.i have been there several times. it is very big, dirty, dangerous in some places, the traffic is atrocious, but the shopping cannot be beat, and it is always fun to go there.
