Doesn't that just drive you CRAZY?! Even worse is when they make changes at the very last minute and then turn around again and decide 'Naw, we DO want it like it first was'!
Hope you get through this one w/your sanity intact - sounds like you need beer more than coffee ![]()

I always appreciate when the client does the "dog piss" thing with the requested artwork. The "dog piss" thing, is when a dog comes into your yard, and has to piss all over it in different spots so that they have left their personal mark on things. So the client comes in, likes what you did, but it isn't "theirs" yet, so they piss on it, a little here, a little there. Change that color to more yellow. Make that tree have flowers. could you move that up?
I did it the way I thought it should be, and even people who know better have done the pissing thing, and they don't even know they're doing it. Has that ever happened to you Coffee? It's why I hate commissions. It's theirs to start with, and murals too. They have to stick their 2 cents in, otherwise its not really theirs. |

THE DOG PISSING THING
laughin my butt off ... great description audrey...hehe. Ya...my job is frequently to apply dog piss to jobs. Most of the time I really don't mind though...it is the clients Ideas i'm drawing most of the time so no problem dealing wit the piss. this time its just a case of confusion...and "hey what you did there looks great...can you change our logo to look like that instead of our logo" sort a stuff. THE DOG PISSING THING...i'm gonna remember that always....thanks aud. |

That dog's thing is so true!
Once a client of mine ordered a logo as simple possible - like Fiat //// - but round and red. I made my propositions and he seemend to like them. Then week after week he started to demand continious changes. 4 months passed. I couldn't get it. And then one day I visited their office and realized that the boss was discussing the logo with almost all his crew! About 20 people (including sewers and accountants) + his son and daughter. Everyone wanted to "help", of course. All I can say, that after 5 months we finished with colourful and - let me use the citation - jeans style eagle with a face of an cool guy! and, yeah, I they payed me for that ![]() |

( i will run it as many times as you want to pay for it) and why can't i separate is as RGB? (you got a special press for that?)

I love the dog "pissing theory". That's awesome. Clients that like to change their stuff ALL the time get a special charge worked in the next time I bid on a job. It's the headache charge.
