I have to pack for a tripl It sucks. I will be out of the country from December 29th to January 15th...The trip won't suck, but packing does . Any tips, hints???? Anything??? Oh, I am going to SE Asia.

stuff you must have at all times, so find one nice lil bag to put them all in: toothpaste, toothbrush (pack a spare somewhere else just in case), dental floss, personal hygene products that you use every day or some days, use ziplock bags instead of in the boxes they come in.

take books and something to write in. And a pen, get one from Ze.. GET A ZE PEN!!!!!!!!

and..take something to do on the plain...and wear something plane..yeah.

call amanda and JT and tell them to hook you up.

and don't forget your passport....

i am unpacking and packing at the same time.... the movers have finally delivered all of my shit (well the most of it... some was lost) and i have to unpack 30 boxes while trying to pack a carry on with stuff i need and x-mas present for a wekk long trip to europe.... not enough time in the day........... aaaaaaaaaagggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I have to pack things up for storage for a couple of weeks, pack to go back to Burbank, pack for Washington state and pack for Connecticut.

in your bag that goes in the airplane with you: your medication, a t-shirt, 2 pieces of underwear, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, duck tape, water, chocolate, breath mints, cell phone charger and a small book as your 1st aid survival kit for lost suitcases. (trust me on this one)

then spread out all your stuff on the bed. now make a selection of stuff you want to bring and stuff you don´t want to bring. start with your clothes. put the stuff you´re not taking with you back in the closet. make a list of anything that you want to bring but can´t find/still have to buy.

once you´ve done this, make a selection of stuff that you REALLY REALLY want to bring. put this in your suitcase. start with the shoes, don´t forget to leave room for your toilet bag.

by now, your suitcase is probably full. that always sucks. choose a pair of shoes and take it out of your suitcase. they´re not coming. now there´s room for more. fill with more stuff.

don´t forget to bring an evening dress and stockings. a must-have everywhere you go! it goes on top of the other clothing and stuff in your suitcase. cover with spread out towel. if it can´t be folded, roll it up in a towel. socks, underwear and other small items go on the sides of the suitcase. put books in that you don´t want to carry on the plane, then the rest of the towels on top. sit on suitcase, and zip it up, lock it and yay for you!

i have only one tip: make sure your passport is valid ( and take it to the airport with you! )

just got back from there.
dont pack one single sweater, and only one long sleeve shirt. and nothing formal.
they are all a complete waste of time that seen like a good idea at the time of packing. its hot over there, and sweaters and shirts take up too much room anyways. worst case scenerio if it gets windy you can buy a sweater for like 100 baht anyways.

thats my advice.
