i looked at that but it doesn't make any sense to me.... is that 7.0 with an upgrade? what happened to 7.1? and what does it mean full version? does that mean that i don't have to buy 7.0?

I get these stewpid computer catalogues every week-- this will give the definative answer:

The latest version of Photoshop is Photoshop Creative Suites, aka Photoshop CS. This is part of Adobe’s attempt to streamline/homogenize the GUI of their graphics apps.

Cost: full version is $629 US from MacConnection (www.macconnection.com)
upgrade is $169.95.

I’m still using Photoshop 4, which does the job- I kinda wish I had a newer version. Dammit.

7.0 is excellent. That’s the one they had before they came out with CS, which mostly contains cosmetic upgrades, so 7.0 is good enough to still be considered the new version- with minor reservations.

If you can find an old version, you can save mucho mula. I’d be glad to part with my copy of Photoshop 2.0 or MacPaint

If, by chance (almost impossible), you happen to OWN a previous version of Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign you can purchase the upgrade version CS and will receive in the package the newest versions of Photoshop(CS), Illustrator(CS), and InDesign(CS) - and if you get the pro version you will also receive Go Live(CS) and Acrobat(CS)s newest versions in full. It is a great deal and not much more expensive than buying the full version of just one of them. Otherwise Photoshop 7.0 is the latest version you can pirate as the new versions have new system of authorizing that as far as I know has not been cracked yet.
